After two interminable airplane rides we're finally here in San Diego, shaking the sand out of our shoes and onto the hostel floor.
I'm on the hostel computer while Rob cusses at his laptop, battling the hostel's wireless in order to upload some photos. So far we've mastered the bus system, wandered through quaint Ocean Beach shops, watched surfers bob in the waves, and sampled the local brews (Ballast Point--a bit too hoppy/bitter for both our tastes).
We're heading out tomorrow into the great land of Mexico, and hopefully will be spending tomorrow night in Ensenada with our gracious potential host Ruben, bellies full of fish tacos. Que rico!
Cheers,
Jessie

3. DO NOT HAVE TOO MUCH FUN. the fun police are out in force and anyone found with relaxed smiles, a light tan and having "a good time" [aka FUN] are subject to the dreaded wet noodle flogging.
